Kerry Hart | Chair
Founder and CEO of the Viability Company, a Nashville based healthcare consulting and interim management company. Kerry’s career encompasses management positions at General Motors, Partners National Health Plans, Aetna, and Concentra, as well as principal consulting roles at the Tiber Group and Arthur Andersen. Kerry has served as chair of our board since 2007 when Harvest Hands launched. Prior to joining the board, he was Chair of the Missions and Outreach Committee of Brentwood United Methodist Church, which oversaw the planning and formation of Harvest Hands. Kerry also serves on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Middle Tennessee. Kerry and his family are all members of Brentwood United Methodist Church. Kerry’s experience with business management and his heart for the mission of Harvest Hands are vital to our board.
Dr. David Bratton
Dr. Bratton is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and then acquired his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Bratton did his internship and surgical residency at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, and completed orthopedic residency at Campbell Clinic. With all of these achievements under his belt, he began a private practice in McMinnville in 1981, where he remained until the fall of 1995 when he joined the Bone & Joint Clinic. Dr. Bratton and his wife and four children are all active members at Brentwood United Methodist Church.
Baxter Wilder is a Tax Manager with KPMG LLP. As a member of the American Institute of Public Account and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Baxter has experience in assisting non-profit entities with tax compliance. Baxter is a native of Corinth Mississippi and earned his Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University and shortly after, gained his Master of Taxation from the University of Mississippi. Baxter is a member of KPMG’s local office INVOLVE committee, which organizes the various community service projects undertaken by the firm. He is an alumnus of the Nashville Young Leaders program and continues to volunteer with Hands On Nashville, Junior Achievement, and Habitat for Humanity. He and his wife, Ginger attend Brentwood United Methodist Church.
Roy Lewis has volunteered with us for over five years as a basketball and flag football coach and coaches our AAU 5th grade boy’s basketball team. Roy is also a volunteer with the 50/50 Protégé Program at Fisk University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting. In addition, Roy has received his Master’s in English from Austin Peay University. Roy has over twenty years of experience in accounting and has worked as a staff accountant, internal auditor, cost accountant, and EDI manager. He volunteers with Fatherhood Development at Tennessee Department of Corrections, and as a Bible study teacher at Perfecting Faith Ministries and as a Devotional Write with FIYA Global Ministries. Roy has three sons, the youngest of which plays on our AAU team. Roy is an incredible asset to our board as he speaks from experience for the community.
Renee is a vital member of our board as she offers insight and voice for the neighborhood of Wedgewood-Houston. Though she is a native of Petal, Mississippi, Renee and her husband, Randy have lived in the community for more than fifteen years and have a son that attends Fall Hamilton (one of the Elementary schools we work with.) Renee studied accounting at the University of Southern Mississippi and now puts that degree to practice at her job with Tenant Building Group. Renee and Randy have been members of Long Hollow Hillcrest Campus since 2001 where she has been a children’s Sunday School Teacher and serves on the Long Hollow GO Missions Team.
Laura is the founder and CEO of Blue Kite Marketing and has 14 years of marketing work under her belt. Laura and her husband, Garth, found Harvest Hands when they moved in two blocks down--they've been involved ever since. Laura grew up in central Missouri on her family farm and graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism. As a resident of the neighborhood, an invested member of the community, and an authority on how to tell the story of an organization well, Laura is invaluable to our board.
